Ho'oilo House

After tiring days out exploring Maui, it was such a relief to come back here. We stayed four days and enjoyed the whole experience each day. Since it was our first visit to the island, we weren't sure whether to book this place or a hotel, but we couldn't stop looking at the property. Mornings came with fresh fruit, house-baked vegan bread, and plenty more. The water-facing view was beautiful, and birds sang in the garden. It felt like a home away from home. We'd love to return and have already recommended it to friends visiting Maui.

Breakfast came with incredible fresh fruit, and the area was so peaceful and quiet. Our honu room was gorgeous, especially the amazing outdoor shower. Dan was a gracious host. We spent four nights here and felt completely relaxed. I'd highly recommend it.

We loved watching the sunsets from the pool area, where the view is amazing. Breakfast was simple but really nice, with homemade bread and muffins, plus fresh fruit on the patio. We stayed three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The calm hits you as soon as you arrive, and the thoughtful, airy decor and layout made us feel at home right away. We chose the ‘Kohola’ room with its outdoor shower, which was a fun experience. I'm so glad we stayed here on our Maui trip.

We celebrated our 30th anniversary here in late July, on our first trip to the island. The views were beautiful, and our hosts were kind and welcoming. When I complimented their jelly and asked where it was purchased, the next day a jar appeared outside our room with a little note. Such a thoughtful gesture. I'm grateful we stayed and had a wonderful experience. We'll definitely come back.
