Everything else was good, but the cigarette smell bothered me since I don’t smoke. I also had to get my room card fixed three times because I couldn’t get into my room. It may sound like a small problem, but guests shouldn’t have to deal with it.

The room had a bathtub and the usual appliances, and it was spacious. But it wasn’t clean or well maintained. There was urine on the toilet when I arrived, the desk chair had a big tear, the shower curtain had holes, and the freezer was frozen open with ice buildup. For a place that asks for a large damage deposit, the condition of the room was frustrating. I also wasn’t told at check-in that the room had an adjoining door. An ottoman had been pushed in front of it, which raised safety and privacy concerns. I’d booked a nonrefundable room online, but the booking process didn’t disclose the incidental hold. At arrival I was asked for $100 on a card or $250 in cash. That felt like an unfair surprise, especially for someone who might not have extra money available. I won’t stay here again.

There was no hot water when I tried to shower. The front desk told me I’d have to wait until 6:30 because they were heating the water back up. Then the power went out around 11 pm and didn’t come back until sometime around 6 or 7 in the morning. I had to get ready in a pitch dark room and charge my phone in my car so I could use its light. Getting a room was a struggle too. I arrived at noon to check in early, but there wasn’t one ready, so I kept coming back every hour until 4. The check-in was rude. My king room still wasn’t ready at 4:30, and they put me in a room with smaller beds without asking, while keeping the same price. This was the worst place I’ve stayed. I can’t figure out how to reach corporate to complain, and I want a refund or some compensation. I’ll never go near that building again.

We got an acceptable night's sleep, but the place is very dated and basic. There was no fridge or microwave, the bed was tough and durable, and the bathroom light was very dim. The trash can hadn't been emptied when we arrived. Being by the main road can make it loud outside. More like 2.5 stars, and it's extremely cheap for a reason.
