There are plenty of parking spaces, room to walk my dogs, and several restaurants close enough to walk to. The bed was clean and comfortable too. It’s an older motel, but it’s great for the price. This was our second stay, and I’d come back again. No issues.

The owners have put a lot of work into the gardening, and it looks very nice. I’d stay here again if I were in the area. The motel seems recently remodeled and is in good shape, with a very clean room. I was given a handicapped room with a large, clean bathroom that worked fine. There was a refrigerator and small microwave, and cable TV had lots of channels. The front desk help was friendly, and the morning coffee was pretty good.

The management were polite and friendly, and the water pressure and hot water were good. There were a few bugs, though. No fridge or microwave in the room, and don’t text guests at 7 am to ask when they’re leaving.

Stay away, especially if anyone in your party has health issues or uses a service animal. My son had just been discharged from the local hospital, and with an ice storm already starting, we decided not to drive home. Super 8 was the only place with a room. The owner’s wife checked me in while it was busy. She pointed to a sign saying “Pets allowed with fee” and asked if we had a pet. I told her we had a service dog for my son, and she said okay. Later, I asked the owner for two more towels. He loudly told me to look in the bathroom because there were already two. I said I knew, but my son had medical issues and we needed two more. He huffed audibly and rolled his eyes. My son had a very bad, restless night, and we finally fell asleep at 8:30 am. At 10:00, maids banged on the door despite our “do not disturb” sign. I called out that we were sleeping and didn’t want anything. They knocked again 30 minutes later, then the phone rang. A man was hard to hear, but asked if we had dirty towels and wanted us to leave them outside. I eventually did, then went back to bed. A little later, someone banged on the door again and yelled something. I was alone with my child in a low level motel and wasn’t going to open it. I called the office, but no one answered, and the banging stopped. Later, I had pharmacy supplies for my son delivered by instacart. When I opened the door, the delivery person said hi, and I saw the owner walking quickly toward us and yelling. The delivery person panicked and ran to her car. He yelled, “YOU HAVE A DOG! YOU HAVE A DOG!” I said yes. He screamed that I hadn’t told them. I explained that I had told his wife when she checked me in. He literally screamed, “LIAR! I DO NOT LIKE LIARS!” I asked if they didn’t allow service dogs, and he said they did. I asked if they charged for them, and he said no. So I asked what the issue was. If it was a miscommunication or his wife hadn’t noted it, what difference did it make? It was a service dog my son had to have, and they weren’t losing money because they didn’t charge for service dogs. He started yelling again, his face red and twisted, so I backed up and shut the door. My son was shaking and crying, which triggered an attack related to his health issues. We spent that night very afraid. The room had more problems too. The toilet and tub were stained, and the tile grout was dirty brown. The beds were very stiff, and the pillows went completely flat when you lay on them. They provided only two towels and two washcloths, two very thin paper cups, and an ice bucket. There were no paper towels or hand towels, just one tiny sachet of shampoo and one small, hard soap. There was no channel directory; the TV was crooked on the wall and weirdly pixelated. The walls were very thin, so we heard everything. They don’t care about their guests, and the owner has no hospitality or diplomacy. If you’re physically challenged in any way, they won’t help. Instead, they’ll assault you and leave you feeling vulnerable. We usually stay at The Hampton Inn and are always treated with so much kindness.

There’s parking for tractor trailers, and it’s simple to get in and out. Several places to eat are within walking distance. It’s not the Ritz, but it’s nice and comfortable. I’ll definitely stay there again.
