Motel 6 Lawrence, KS

I checked in Friday, 1-9-26, at about 6:30 a.m. and went to the lobby for coffee. It was cold. After the clerk finally looked away from YouTube videos, he brought out half a pot, also cold. He said that's how they serve it because someone had complained it was too hot, and suggested I microwave it. When I was checking out, my granddaughter went to get coffee. I told her it was cold, so instead of making a fresh pot, the morning clerk poured it into a plastic coffee pot and microwaved it. We both told him to forget it.

It was helpful that they accepted guests 18 and older. I needed a weekend place for my boyfriend because he can't sleep in my dorm. But the room was very dirty: what looked like throw-up residue in the toilet, stains all over the bed, and dirty floors.

The room was clean enough, but pretty basic. There was only a bar of soap, no shampoo or conditioner, and the shower knob was sitting on the side of the tub.

The location is quite far out. They complained when my baby was crying and making noise at around 6:30 p.m., before 7. If you have a baby, this doesn't seem like the place to stay. They complain about any noise.
