The outdoor space beyond the lobby was a highlight, with two firepits under the hotel overhang where we could relax, chat, or have a glass of wine at night. The lobby, room, and bar were clean and welcoming. The hotel itself is nice, and the breakfast bar was clean and decent. The person preparing breakfast could have smiled more, though. The pool area looked nice, but the water seemed a bit dingy and cloudy. Maybe it was the chlorine and jets, but I didn't stay there. Service was okay. The woman who checked me in seemed new and didn't know much about the area. Also, if you're coming from Kansas City on I70, you'll have to pay a toll. I'd rate cleanliness, safety, location, and service at 4.4/5.

The location worked perfectly for our visit, but the bathroom design and hard beds put us off coming back. The toilet and shower are behind a barn-style door that doesn't fully close. The half-glass shower sprays water outside, and the showerhead is so high that showering properly is difficult. Next time, we'll drive farther before staying here.

We enjoyed the warm pool and I got in a swim and workout. The hotel is smoke-free, which is a big plus for me, and the bedding smelled clean and fresh. Our room was clean and fairly comfortable, and the staff were nice. Check-in was seamless. Breakfast was pretty typical, if better stocked than most. Friday they had cheesy egg omelets, hash brown bites, waffles, and sausage patties. Saturday there were pancakes, waffles, eggs, biscuits, and gravy. The food still tasted pretty flavorless, but I wasn't disappointed. The surrounding area was clean and lovely. We ate good, fresh tacos at fresh twist, and there are lots of other restaurants to choose from based on reviews. Walmart is about half a mile away.

Kayla made a stressful family emergency much easier for us. She was kind, responsive, and made sure we could stay in the same room without interruption. Her care and professionalism were truly world class, and she's a tremendous asset to the hotel. We're deeply grateful for her help. The location and staff were outstanding.

The room was nice, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. One vanity bulb above the sink was out. I wasn't keen on the showerhead: it's handy for washing your hair, but not if you want to keep your hair dry. No major complaints, and I'll stay again.
