TownePlace Suites Lawrence Downtown

The rooms are fairly basic, but they're nice and clean. What really stands out is how friendly and helpful the staff have been every time we've stayed. It's dog friendly too, which is a big plus for us. And I have to say, they have the best coffee stir sticks of any hotel I've visited.

This is such a cute hotel, and the staff are so sweet. The location is wonderful, with secure parking. Madeline did an exceptional job cleaning my room. There wasn't any dust, hair, food, or smudges, and I barely had to tidy up myself. I'll be back in a few weeks, so please make sure she cleans my room again!

The room was clean, and the secure garage was convenient. An elevator took us straight from the garage to our floor. The breakfast bar looked good, but we ate on Mass. Street, so I can't comment on the food. There were too few bath towels in the room. The lobby had an odor that seemed to go beyond food. I guessed it might be mildew or a sewer line issue, and since it's the first impression of the property, it should be addressed. The internet was painfully slow by 2026 standards. The pool was the worst part. I should have turned back when I saw standing water around it, and I shouldn't have ignored how slippery the surrounding area was. Then I found a huge amount of human hair in the water, including a chunk wrapped around my foot. I got my family out and upstairs to shower right away. Looking in from the side made me feel physically ill. It's been almost 48 hours since we were exposed, and I hope no one gets an infection. Do better, Marriot.

We chose this hotel over the SpringHill Suites after the internet there failed, and this place is a little cheaper and much nicer. It seems newer, and the rooms are bigger, with a full refrigerator, stovetop, dishwasher, larger TV, and free breakfast like a SpringHill suite. The beds were nice, and the A/C worked well. Bathroom amenities were basic but enough. Our camper van was too tall for either hotel's garage, and at the other property we also had a long walk from parking. Here we could park on the street in front. The location is closer than SpringHill Suites to Massachusetts, within walking distance of lots of restaurants and shops. I'd stay here over the SpringHill Suites.
