Quality Inn & Suites

We only got one day of maid service during our three-night stay. We hadn't been told service was every other day, so we went to the front desk to ask why housekeeping hadn't come. That's when we found out. The desk did give us fresh towels.

We booked online and waited more than 30 minutes to check in while the front desk agent slurred her words and nodded off. When it was our turn, she was still incoherent and disoriented. The first key card didn't work. The second got us into a filthy room with brown stains on the bed, used towels, and water bottles left lying around. On our third trip back, we walked in on a naked man sleeping. I called customer service to request a refund, but they said they couldn't do anything because we booked online. Save your money and avoid this place.

The bed was comfortable and the room decently clean, but it was a basic, dated budget room. The broken body wash dispenser had been left as a bottle on the shower floor. That wasn't a big deal for one night, but it wasn't up to standard. Breakfast was meant to run until 9 a.m., which feels early for people on vacation, and when I went down at 8:30 everything was already put away and closed. We arrived around 6 p.m. after skiing, and the lobby was dim with no attendant at the desk. We called the hotel from there and wandered the halls looking for someone, despite having a reservation. After about 10 minutes, while we were looking for another nearby hotel, a receptionist finally showed up. I told her we'd been waiting and looking around, and instead of apologizing politely, she basically called me a liar and said she hadn't been away from the desk that long. She had been. I was tired and cold, and there weren't many nearby options, so I checked in. Next time we go to Perfect North, I'll choose somewhere else.

We checked out immediately after the front desk mix-up. The woman was rude, gave only a half-hearted apology when confronted, and kept saying, “My hands are tied,” instead of taking responsibility. However it happened, a key that opens an occupied room is a serious security issue. If needed, we'll file a chargeback with our credit card company. If you're visiting Lawrenceburg/Greendale, I'd stay somewhere else, even if that means a tent. Before our turn, the same woman checked a couple into Room 230, which was out of order and being renovated. When they pointed it out, she said she'd meant Room 228 and had written the wrong number. I thought mistakes like that could happen. Then she checked us into Room 203. Our key unlocked it, and we heard people shout from inside. The room was occupied. We and the guests went back to the desk, where she said she'd written the wrong number on our keycard and that we were meant to be in Room 206. I told her the key had opened Room 203.
