I was nervous when I first arrived, but after getting to know everyone I started to feel at home. I stayed for a few weeks before moving into my new place. The morning and night crews and the maintenance team were attentive and caring. They answered questions, dealt with concerns quickly, and went the extra mile so I felt safe, comfortable, and looked after. Their kindness and professionalism made a real difference.

I was upset about the obvious drug use outside, and they asked me to check out because I complained. Apparently the drug use was okay, but raising a concern wasn't. Management never addressed us, and in my experience she was incredibly inadequate with customers. The front office staff told me housekeeping and maintenance don't actually do their jobs. Ameka with the bob wig said the housekeepers just "pop the sheets," meaning they straighten the top covers to make things look clean. She said I had actually gotten a clean room, but I had complained about a hole in the bathroom wall from mold. She also said one maintenance man was lazy and didn't know what he was doing, and had left the wall borders lying on the floor. I've never stayed anywhere worse.

The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and there were restaurants and shopping close by. I had a serious booking problem with hotels.com, so I won't use them again. But when I return to Lawrenceville, Georgia, I'll definitely stay with hometown studios. My children and I had a great experience.

The beds were very comfortable, the room was decently clean, and the small kitchen was useful. Still, at $77 a night, this felt overpriced for a very basic place. The doors open straight outside, more like a motel than an enclosed hotel, and there was no gym, pool, balcony, or proper lobby, just a small front area without seating or much of a welcoming atmosphere. There was no free breakfast or shampoo either. It's fine if you just need a simple place to sleep, but don't expect much of a hotel experience.
