Rodeway Inn

Every room we were shown was filthy, and the staff’s response left us feeling ridiculed and unsafe. In the first room, the lights wouldn’t turn on and the floor was very dirty. We asked at the desk and were moved to a second room, where the lights worked, but the sheets hadn’t been washed. As we pulled the layers back, the blanket was just as dirty, with crumbs and rubber bands left behind by the previous guest. The room smelled horrible. We stripped the bed and asked for fresh sheets and blankets, and maybe new pillows. The desk clerk said he’d have to wake housekeeping, then offered a third room instead. It was just as bad as the first two. When I showed him pictures, he seemed to ridicule us, like we should accept whatever we got. I’ve never been somewhere dirtier and definitely wouldn’t recommend it for any reason. Please don’t bring your family here, even just passing through.

There was old food in the fridge and I saw cockroaches. In the first room, the bed looked like someone had been lying in it, and the pillows had mold and no pillowcases. When I asked at the desk for fresh pillows and sheets, they said they didn’t keep extras up front. We were moved to a cleaner room, but the bed had the same problem, so I laid towels down and used my own blanket. It was a very bad stay, though I guess you get what you pay for. Be careful. They don’t offer breakfast or coffee, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

I saw a robbery a couple of doors away, and I wouldn’t even sleep in the parking lot. Inside the room, there were huge holes in the walls and mold everywhere. The fridge smelled bad and had mold, and there was a molded piece of pizza in the microwave. The dresser drawers held tampons, Q-tips, and hair trash. The bed wasn’t made, with pillows oddly stacked on the microwave. Dead bugs were on the floor and mixed in with lots of dirt on the sheets. I have video proof and posted it all over Facebook, where hundreds of people said it was the worst they’d ever seen. Never stay here. Zero out of ten.

We chose not to stay, which they said was an option after we asked about getting a non-smoking room. They told us the property had no non-smoking rooms. The room we were given was drab and dirty, nothing like the clean, pleasant one shown on the website. There were dozens of cockroaches moving in and out of cracks in the bathtub surround, and we had to ask for towels. A couple two doors down were yelling at each other, and people hanging around outside looked shady and made us uneasy.
