Barefoot Resort Condominiums

The room itself was nice, and the pool area was decent, but the rest of the resort made for a disappointing stay. Our building felt neglected, with dim, gloomy hallways that smelled of old carpet and stale cigarette smoke. Broken furniture had been left scattered there too. The hot tub was full of bugs and clearly needed upkeep, while the grill area we’d looked forward to using was dirty and had no propane. We wanted somewhere clean and relaxing, and this wasn’t it. I’d look elsewhere.

Getting around the room involved a lot of little step-ups, including one into the bedroom and another step down to the bathroom beside the kitchen. There wasn’t anywhere to eat in the kitchen, so meals meant going to the dining room. This resort really isn’t suited to senior citizens.

Our 3BR unit in the Summit View section worked perfectly for six, and it had everything we needed. The staff were great. There’s no A/C since these are winter ski resort units, but every bedroom had a fan and the family room had a large one to bring in the cool evening air. Even with unusually hot temperatures during our stay, we were comfortable. We’d definitely return.

Such a beautiful place to stay ❤️ The pool and jacuzzi areas were a favorite too.
