Parking isn't ideal because of the location, but the charm and the view make up for it. The inn is historic, beautifully maintained, and immaculate, with lots of character. It's a good spot if you have things to do in Lead, like seeing a show at the Nearby Homestake Opera House. Nights are quiet, especially compared with nearby Deadwood.

Breakfast was a great quick bite before we headed out for a day of exploring, and the women working there were very friendly. The building was clean, and our room was especially spotless. I'm picky about rooms and tend to notice things in most hotels and vrbos that other guests might miss, but this one was pristine. Even the clear glass bedside table had no smudges, and the shower, usually one of my biggest hotel complaints, was clean too. I was so happy with our short stay and hope to come back next time I'm in the area.

It was a great experience, with a comfortable room and real charm. You get to feel connected to the area and its history, which you don't get at a chain hotel without a local connection. There's lots to explore nearby, including good dining, museums, and historic places.

The management made us feel very welcome, breakfast was simple but complete, and even the neighbors were a nice addition. Our family trip included a memorable stay here. The rooms were large and clean, and the beds were the most comfortable. The place has an authentic feel, with a beautiful atmosphere in a turn-of-the-century town hall that's been converted. I can't say enough good things. DO NOT CHANGE A THING.

The hostess was wonderful. She clearly takes pride in her work and made us feel at home. This historic inn in the Black Hills is charming, and I'm so glad we found it. It'll be our regular place to stay when we're in the area, and we'll recommend it to anyone planning a visit. Highly recommended!
