The rooms are nice, the staff lovely, and the price and location are convenient if you're in Leadville for work or fun. I wish I could recommend it, but the downstairs bathrooms are covered in black mold, and you can smell it as soon as you head down the stairs. I haven't heard back from the hostel about it. It's disgusting and, in my view, a reportable health code violation. Stay at your own risk. The lower price probably isn't worth the long-term impact on your lungs.

After a couple days on the ski trails, I stopped in for a shower. For $7, it was the best money I've spent. Loads of hot water, really clean facilities, friendly staff, and such a cozy, welcoming feel.

Whenever I visit Colorado, I love staying here. The owners are helpful and friendly, and the accommodations are nice. Leadville's a great town, and this is a really cool hostel where I always seem to meet kind, interesting people from all over. I'm glad a place like this makes it easier for people to get out into the mountains. Five stars.

We used the kitchen a lot to cook for our group of 11, and it was well stocked and spacious enough for us and the other guests. Our Trail Life troop had a fantastic stay at Inn the Clouds. The hosts were welcoming, the place was clean, and we were impressed with how comfortable it was. We'll be back, God willing.

The hostess Grace and the other guests made Inn the Clouds Hostel feel like a loving community. The hostel itself has a cozy, homey look and feel. I really enjoyed my time here and wish I could've stayed longer.
