The Timberline

I’ve stayed in Room #11, the queen room with kitchenette, on both of my last two winter trips from my home in Taos. I come up to Leadville for a few days to get easy access to Ski Cooper and Copper Mountain. The room feels palatial for one person and would be perfect for two. I love The Timberline, and I love Leadville. The thoughtful touches include First Ascent coffee and Alpine Provisions bodycare products. I also like opening the door with a code instead of a key, and being right on Harrison Ave, within walking distance of all the wonderful restaurants and shops. I’m a true fan girl and wholeheartedly recommend it!

I was in town for a wedding and had a wonderful time in Leadville. My two-night stay at The Timberline this week was perfect, and the bed was amazing. The bedding and bathroom linens were top-notch, and they were quick to answer any questions. My only drawback was not having a full-length mirror to check my outfit. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had a fantastic big family gathering at Timberline over the Holidays, with three rooms including THE LOFT. It was an amazing space, with great kitchen amenities, useful gear storage, and perfect wi-fi. The location worked well for trips back and forth to Ski Cooper, walks downtown, and trying the many food options in Leadville. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and clearly engaged with the wider Leadville community. Our dog was warmly welcomed too. Wholeheartedly recommend The Timberline Lodge for a super awesome time in Leadville!

Leadville is a cool, very small town with all you need, from restaurants and bars to ski rentals, shops, and other amenities. Timberline was great, nothing fancy, but very well located. Ski Cooper is nearby, with affordable lift tickets and an old-world feel at a small mountain. Copper is about 30 minutes away, and Vail is under an hour. You can reach any Summit County ski resort in less than 50 minutes. We drove to Monarch for a bit more natural snow. It took an hour and 20 minutes, but the drive was pretty, and it was a nice, affordable experience, much less than the high-profile resorts.
