Bavarian Lodge

We came all the way from Victoria, British Columbia to spend three nights at the Bavarian Lodge for Christmas 🎄, and it was such a cozy, magical holiday. Dolan at customer service deserves a special mention for being kind, approachable, and helpful from the moment we arrived. The staff were welcoming throughout. The lodge is a one-minute walk from downtown Leavenworth, so it was easy to explore. Breakfast was included and had great options, and having hot drinks available all day was a lovely touch. Sitting inside with a warm drink while the snowy ❄️ scenery looked like a winter postcard felt just right. There are puzzle board tables, cute merchandise, and lots of thoughtful details that make the place feel welcoming. We saw families returning year after year and now understand why. It is on the expensive side, but the comfort, quality, and experience made it worth it for us. We had our coziest Christmas here and would happily return. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Leavenworth, especially for the holidays. 🎄❄️💕

The location is perfect, and winter at the Bavarian Lodge is especially magical when the Christmas lights are on at the Lodge and across the street at the park. The rooms are always clean and nicely decorated, which matters a lot to me. After coming in from the cold, it's great to find coffee, tea, apple cider, and hot chocolate waiting in the decorated lobby all day. There's free breakfast every morning too.

We could walk to anything in town from this hotel, and it was perfectly placed for seeing the Leavenworth Christmas lights. It also seems like a good spot any time of year. The rooms and the rest of the hotel were clean, and the beautiful lobby connects to the bar and lounge. Free coffee, cider, and hot chocolate were a nice bonus after being out in the cold. It was a cozy place to come back to, and I'd recommend it over anywhere else in town.

Breakfast was a real highlight, especially the steamed egg, and the bedding was warm and just the right firmness. The hotel is charming and scenic, and although it's older, it's very well maintained. I could hear footsteps from the fourth floor in our room on the third, which was the one downside. I'd like to come back during snow season if I get the chance. Prices are a bit high, so dates outside holidays and special events are probably best.
