Days Inn Leavenworth

The first time I stayed, the room was clean, but I didn't like where it was. The clerk was friendly and moved me closer to the office. My second visit was a nightmare. A different clerk first put me in a room that hadn't been cleaned, then moved me to one with no heat. I ended up going somewhere else. The first clerk was really nice, but the second guy was rude. I wouldn't go back unless that friendly clerk were working.

My in-laws stayed here while visiting, and the room was disgusting, with lots of hair in the shower and generally poor cleanliness. Two days later, my mother-in-law realized she'd left something behind, so I called the hotel. The woman who answered was difficult to understand, though she seemed decent at first. She put me on hold while she called out to housekeeping for a while, then asked me to call back in five minutes so she could check the carts. I called seven minutes later, and she yelled, “Ma'am! It has not been 5 minutes! Call back!” before slamming the phone down. The staff were very rude. I guess I'll try calling again and hope she's nicer next time. Don't let your family spend the night here.

The staff at checkout were very nice, but I probably won't stay here again. The room was very dirty, with dead and live bugs all over. The tub wouldn't drain, there was food left in the fridge, and the TV picture was blurry. The cleaning staff were rude, too. I asked for a late checkout, but they showed up 20 minutes before the regular checkout time and yelled at me. I had mentioned my small dog when booking online, but when I arrived, there were no pet rooms available, so I waited an extra hour for a room. The staff at check-in weren't accommodating, and they charged me more than the online quote.

For $82, the room wasn't a bad deal, but I doubt I'll come back. One bed had stained sheets, and the washcloths had stains too. We were leaving the next morning and it was already late, so we didn't bring it up with management. Next time, I'll pay a bit more somewhere down the road for a cleaner room and a softer bed.
