Hampton Inn & Suites Leavenworth

The location was convenient, with downtown not too far away and a Safeway, gas station, Starbucks, bus stop, and other amenities nearby. We had a comfortable, pleasant stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites. The rooms were spacious and elegant, and we loved the complimentary breakfast. The front desk was welcoming and quick to take care of our needs. Thanks for hosting us.

The property itself looks nice, and I'll share pictures that show that, but our stay in room 102 about a week ago was awful. We were there for a couple of nights. The morning after night one, I saw the sheets hadn't been changed from the previous guest. There was long black hair, skin flakes, and unidentified bodily fluids on them. I'm 69 and have short gray hair. I reported it at the desk, and they sent a housekeeper back with me. She confirmed it and changed the bed. I asked to speak to the manager, but was told he was out and that she'd leave a note. We finished our stay the next day without hearing from anyone. Hilton sent a survey, and I asked to be contacted. Nothing. I was really sick the following day, and after noticing the hotel had charged my card without comment, I called again. The manager wasn't available then either, but I was promised a call at 8 a.m. when they came in. No call. I've been sick for a week and suspect the filthy sheets may have caused it. They blew me off three times, and I've missed a week of work. This is why I don't stay at Motel 6. I don't expect this from a Hilton property. Stuff happens, I understand that, but ignoring guests isn't professional or acceptable.

Amazing value for the price, and I'll definitely return. The room looked brand new, with a comfortable bed, nice toiletries, blackout curtains, and pretty good soundproofing. TV choices and HVAC were great, too. Breakfast was included, and there are two hot tubs, a pool, and a nice gym. The lounge is comfortable, with an ice machine and coffee and tea available all day. Staff were nice. It's easy to catch the free, fast bus into Leavenworth from here. The area is quiet, with trees and great views, and gas and Safeway are close by.

My friend and I spent two nights at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Leavenworth. Downtown is about a six minute drive, but there's a free bus behind the hotel every half hour in both directions. I'd suggest taking it since parking in town can be scarce and costs money. We slept badly the first night because of a loud outdoor noise. When I asked, one staff member said it was a helicopter that had to run all night. They said no other room would help with the sound. My friend thought that didn't seem right and asked again. A male staff member then said it wasn't a helicopter, but machinery at the nearby pear orchard to keep the fruit trees from freezing. He agreed to move us. Room 333 was much better, though it was next to the elevator. Breakfast, the pool, and cleanliness were great. The LaQuinta behind the Hampton also looks nice.
