Holiday Inn Club Vacations Oak n’ Spruce Resort in the Berkshires by IHG

The pools were probably the highlight, and we had a good time using them. The resort's other amenities were decent, and the place itself was clean, though it’s dated and starting to look a bit run down. There was very little silverware. The activity center smelled like old cheese and looked dated inside too. It was an okay stay, but I’m not sure I’d return.

The pools and arcade were awesome, and the pools stayed open until 10 pm. There were some activities for the kids, which we really enjoyed. The movie theater was nice, with very comfortable big chairs. Aside from the room problems, we had a good stay. Room 553 felt a little grungy. There was something all over the bathroom mirrors that didn’t seem to come off, making me wonder if the bathroom had been cleaned. When we turned on the tub jets, a lot of mold came through the tube. We drained it and decided not to use the tub. The beds weren’t good either, and I woke up with severe lower back pain.

We used the pool, gym, and arcade, and there’s plenty to do nearby. The arcade was a lot of fun for the kids, though expect to spend at least $20-$50 if you want them to play for a good while. The gym is very limited. The rooms were clean and worked for our large group, but they’re dated and could use a refresh. We’ll definitely be back.

What keeps bringing me back to the Oak n Spruce Resort is how friendly and helpful the staff are. This time I forgot to request a first-floor unit ahead of our stay, which would have made it easier for my mom, who was staying nearby and has minor mobility issues, to join us for meals. At check-in, Noelle at the front desk quickly moved us from a third-floor unit. I really appreciated how kind and understanding she was about my last-minute request. That’s exactly why I’ll come back.
