AJ went above and beyond for our family reunion, and the whole stay at Hiawatha Beach Resort was amazing. It’s a family-owned place that deserves more recognition for the care they put into running it. They’ve got all the amenities you’d expect, plus more.

The accommodations here are well beyond what I’d call glamping or a hotel, and the location is wonderful. The people are great, too. The cabins have all been remodeled, and I’m looking forward to seeing the new lodge when it’s ready. Can’t wait to come back.

I came for a long weekend, while my husband and 12 yo are staying for 10 days. When I arrived Friday evening, a golf cart parade went by, then there was an all-ladies "Hey ride". It was a lot of fun. The cabins look great and come in sizes for different groups. The main lodge has a restaurant and bar, an indoor pool, a hot tub, and a convenience store. I’m guessing there are around 8-10 rooms on the second and third floors, with an elevator. My kid joined the kids charter, and I think boats or pontoons are available to rent as well. Everyone on staff was friendly and seemed busy. They might have been short staffed, but whenever I saw someone, they waved or smiled. I’d recommend the place without hesitation. I don’t know what the rates are since my husband handled that.

Cabin 13 was just right for our large family trip, and I hope it’s available next year. This was our first time at the resort, and after 30 years of taking this annual trip, it’s easily the best one we’ve visited. The owners and staff were so friendly and accommodating, and every part of the resort was incredibly clean. AJ even joined us for our “trash can” supper on Saturday. We can’t wait to return next year. 😊

We’d been home for only five hours and were already trying to work out when we could return before our booking a year from now. Once a year won’t be enough. This was the most balanced vacation we’ve had, and Hiawatha Beach Resort has so much to offer that I can’t list it all. We started with a lake cabin for the first week, then stayed in a lodge condo with a balcony overlooking the water for the second. The place and staff were amazing, and the views were beautiful. We’d booked one week, but when checkout came, we weren’t ready to go. We asked at the lodge if we could stay another week, and luckily they had room. There’s an indoor pool, hot tub, game room, restaurant with the best burgers and fries ever, and a patio overlooking the lake where you can eat. They also have lots of beach chairs and paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats for guests to use. The rental boat selection is incredible, too. We asked about the food set up in the dining area and learned from Julie that they feed the staff lunch every day. That says a lot about how the owners treat their employees. Thank you for an awesome stay, AJ, Ben, Vanessa Larry, Sue, and the whole staff. Great place, great people. Strongly recommend it! Thank you, Rob and Jackie
