D-Lux Budget Inn Lemont

The second time I booked, I hadn't realized I'd stayed here before. The door only has a push button lock, so a deadbolt or at least a chain would make it feel more secure. Inside, the room was cold and smelled when we arrived. There was no coffee pot, and the beds are so high that older guests may have trouble getting into them. The wall lights beside the bed were painfully bright, like facing a truck on the highway, so we couldn't use them. A shade or diffuser would help. The toilet handle also had to be lifted to stop the tank from filling.

I travel to Lemont often, and this has turned into my home away from home. The owners are really nice, and the rooms are always clean.

The pillows were flat and lumpy at the same time, so bring your own if you can. Aside from that, our weekend stay for a wedding went well: service was great, the rooms were clean and smelled fine, and we felt safe in the quiet. If we're in this city again and need a place to stay, we'd definitely come back.

The washroom was surprisingly clean, and the cleaner deserves five stars for getting the toilet spotless. I checked the room and couldn't find a single hair; even the bedliners were stain-free and smelled freshly washed. The staff were friendly and the prices fair, and the rooms were cleaner than at other motels I've stayed in. I almost passed this place up because of the three star review, but had nowhere else to go, so I booked. Honestly, the motel isn't bad at all.
