The Cornell in Lenox

The historic building is something to keep in mind if you visit, since noise at night can carry. We could hear the upstairs room late into the night, and it affected our sleep. We brought a white noise machine, which helped a little. Light sleepers might want to choose one of the upper rooms. The location is great, and we enjoyed Lenox and this quaint B&B. We liked our cozy room and the fireplace log. The glass has to stay shut for safety and cleanliness, but you can still feel some heat and it makes a nice atmosphere. Breakfast was pretty good, and the staff were extremely friendly!

Jeanne at the front desk went out of her way to make my stay lovely. After I'd checked out, she found me a hot cup of coffee even though breakfast was over, and relit the fire while I worked in the common area for a few hours before driving home. She's a keeper, thank you! The Cornell Inn has both a luxurious feel and the most accommodating staff. A beautiful place can still have its experience tainted by poor service or staff who aren't personable, so the people really matter.

The room was cozy and comfortable, and the shower water was lovely and hot on a cold winter day. We had a great weekend getaway together, with fantastic, accommodating service and hospitality. Breakfast was a delicious surprise, and the food recommendations were right on. Downtown has wonderful shops and eateries. We'll definitely come back.

I haven't stayed there yet, since I only just booked a room, but their quick, kind, competent customer service already impressed me. I sent a somewhat picky question about the inn yesterday and had a response in about five minutes. That makes me think the lodging may be just as good, and I'm looking forward to finding out later this month. The room photos look amazing, too. I got a great rate by booking directly on their website.
