I booked this motel for an inexpensive night while visiting a friend in Fitchburg and didn’t expect much. It turned out to be fantastic for a motel in its class, and I’d happily stay there again next time I’m in the area. The room was spotless and well maintained for an obviously old property. The floors, walls and appliances were in good shape, the beds were comfortable, and the toilet and other bathroom fixtures seemed fairly new. The tub looked older and had what seemed like old cigarette burns, but it was still clean. The heater fan made some noise, though not enough to keep us awake, and the room stayed comfortable. Despite the city location, it was quiet. The front desk staff were kind and welcoming at both check-in and checkout. A couple of coworkers were joking with each other while I waited a few minutes in the lobby for my spouse. There’s no elevator to the second floor, so ask for a ground-floor room if stairs are a problem.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the heat worked well. The women at the front desk were friendly too. I was pleasantly surprised for a Motel 6. If all you need is somewhere to sleep, there’s no need to spend money on a pricier room.

After a long flight and drive, Aaron was a welcome bright spot at check-in. He went out of his way to be pleasant and helpful, and I really appreciated it. But the room had no hot water. It was barely even room temperature, and getting up the next morning after all that travel only to be unable to shower was incredibly frustrating.

I’ve been coming here for more than ten years, and it never lets me down. It’s not fancy, but it’s very clean, the service is great, and I love the neighborhood with everything close by. The staff are respectful, and they even have morning coffee. I’ll definitely be back.
