The Arnold House

The food was a huge hit with our guests, who told us it was the best they'd ever had at a wedding. Chef Brit was a phenomenal talent and made delicious options for everyone's dietary restrictions. Throughout the weekend, the staff at The Arnold House and Foster Supply made us feel safe and looked after. Their warm welcome, last-minute problem solving, and genuine hospitality even made us feel we'd made friends. During planning, they listened to our ideas and helped bring our vision to life, making the wedding feel personal to us rather than like something they'd done before. We couldn't have found a better venue nearby or anywhere else. We absolutely recommend it for a wedding weekend or an overnight visit, and plan to return for years to come.

We decided to stay put at The Arnold House during the big January 2026 snowstorm, after Will, the General Manager, offered us the choice of rescheduling or getting snowed in. It turned out to be a fantastic snowy weekend. Will was accommodating and fun to talk with, and when our room got a little chilly in the old building with -5 degrees outside, he brought us a space heater that made it comfortable. The hotel is cozy, just right for a winter getaway. We used the complementary snowshoes on the trails, ate well in the tavern downstairs, and kept the fires going. We'll be back, and recommend it.

The winter spa getaway made for such a relaxing break, including a wonderfully soothing massage right there on site. The staff were incredible and made us feel comfortable throughout our cozy winter weekend. We loved the friendly service in the snug Tavern, the afternoon cookies, and relaxing beside the fire. From the messages before our arrival through the stay itself, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely accommodating, especially Will. We brought our dog at the last minute, and they made her feel at home with a bed and bowls in the room. Most rooms are dog-friendly, and the whole property feels designed to welcome dogs, not merely permit them. We spent hours reading in the charming, warm restaurant's main room on both days, with the fire crackling, comfy seats, and cozy blankets. The food and drinks were excellent, and it was so relaxing. Our bed was super comfortable, too. The room style could use a little tweaking to feel cozier, though we understand that the no-carpeting and other durable choices are meant to keep things clean with dogs around. That didn't take away from our stay. We left relaxed and well cared for, already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend, especially if you're traveling with a pup.
