The staff were awesome, and the place had a good feel. I also liked the layout and the room was a great size. But there were several problems: the toilet tank ran nonstop and wouldn’t fill, so the toilet couldn’t be used. The tub’s spigot was loose and we couldn’t get hot water. There were dead bugs in the light fixtures above the sink.

Jessica was so kind when I couldn’t find my keys at 11 pm. She let me in and didn’t make me feel bad, even after I found them in my pocket. The welcome set the tone for a lovely 24 hours. My room was small but comfortable, and I slept better than I have in a while. The photos don’t do the hotel justice; my room looked nicer than I expected from them. I agree with another reviewer that the pillows are a little hard. I had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return.

Tina at the front desk was a delight, and the lobby was nicely put together. We only spent one night at Hotel Rodney, but had a great time. The room was satisfactory, and the adjacent Rose & Crown was a great dinner choice. Quite a few places were closed early in the week, since high season hadn’t started yet.

We had a great stay at Hotel Rodney. Tina had left a warm anniversary message in our room, which was such a lovely welcome. The staff were courteous and helpful, and we really enjoyed the location. Many thanks for a great experience.

We liked the building’s interesting history. As locals, my husband and I stayed at The Hotel Rodney overnight after some late events in Downtown Lewes. Our top-floor room was at the end of the hall and mostly quiet, except when people had loud conversations in the hallway. It was modest and clean, with vintage-inspired decor and a convenient mini-fridge. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful.
