The rooms are clean and kept up, the beds are comfortable, and everything in the room worked. The carpets and walkways were in good shape too. For the lowest price around, the motel itself is a solid deal. The owner was pleasant enough, though I found him very focused on money and wouldn’t choose him as a friend. There’s no room service at all during your stay, and the “continental breakfast” was just Cheerios and mini muffins. The coffee was empty whenever I went for some, and guests on the lower rate don’t get breakfast access. I booked the wrong date by mistake, but the manager wouldn’t let me cancel or move the reservation, so I had to dispute the charge with my bank. Good luck.

We paid nearly $70 and the room was in terrible shape. The mirror was dirty and dusty, the toilet stopped working for half the night, and the sink had no running water. Only the bathtub worked. Half the lamps were missing working bulbs, too. My sister and I picked this place because we’d been drinking at a bar within walking distance and didn’t want to drive. We walked in to a smell that made it seem unclean, and I won’t stay here again or recommend it. Cedars Inn down the street was much better in my experience, with everything working.

The room had a fridge, microwave, and a decent TV, and the bed seemed clean with fresh white sheets. We were exhausted and glad to find somewhere affordable, and the man who helped us was kind. They let us bring our small dog for a modest fee. The pet room needed more cleaning, though: the carpet was grimy, the counters weren’t clean, and some towels were stained. The Wi-Fi gave me a strong security warning, so we stayed off it. We were okay, but I’d probably pick somewhere else next time.

The price looks tempting, but I’d avoid this place. The room smelled awful, and the sink was splattered and stained, with hair that looked like it had been left by several guests. Jack at the front desk was rude and made me uncomfortable, almost stalkerish. The door let in a draft, and I couldn’t tell whether the lock even worked.

The non-smoking room at least didn’t smell like smoke, so I guess that earns it a star. Otherwise, the rooms were fairly dirty, the front desk clerk was a jerk, and cancelling a reservation seems to be a problem. I wish I could give zero stars. Really unhappy with this place.
