Inn at the Agora

It’s a really cool place, an old church rectory, and you can tell a lot of care has gone into it. The manager was fantastic. She changed our room to give us and our sweet dog more space, and there was even a welcome bag of dog treats. There’s an outdoor area for pets and people, plus a couple of common rooms with free food and drinks, games, and puzzles. They also provide extra pillows and blankets, bathrobes, slippers, shampoo, soap, conditioner, and a binder of local food and activity information. I’d recommend it for a college student visiting with family or as a quick stop while traveling. The area seems to have some unhoused people, possibly because of public outreach across the street. It got a little loud at night, but nothing we couldn’t ignore. The parking lot on the side is small.

We loved staying at The Agora. The building is beautiful, the owners are great, and the beds are comfortable. We’ll stay here again next time we’re in Lewiston.

This adorable Inn is just 6 minutes from Bates College. The large bedroom was comfortable, and the whole house felt cozy and welcoming, from the decor to the things provided. The kitchen has what you need for an early coffee or a late snack. The owner lives there, is very nice, gives you privacy, and is around if you need anything. 100% worth it! 🙏
