Best Western Lexington Inn

The employees were nice, and the beds were decent, but I wouldn't call this a good value. There was no hot water, and we weren't offered compensation even though we couldn't shower. The shower heads looked like they hadn't been cleaned. The rooms also have harsh white lighting that feels unwelcoming, and the TV remote was ridiculous, needing about ten button presses to work.

I'd stay here again. It wasn't bad for what I paid, and overall it worked fine. There were signs of age and the cleaning standard could've been better. The pool could have been cleaner, though I know it was out of season, and the ceiling wasn't in the best shape. Maybe that's just how things are these days. I know I sound like a grumpy old man, but it feels like people want to do as little work as possible while making the most money.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I had asked for a first-floor room near the exit, and that's where they put us. It was next to a supply closet, though, and the door kept getting opened and slammed shut far too often during the night.

The pool was a hit with my kids and me, and the little fitness room had the basics I needed for a workout. Breakfast was included and really good, especially those little waffles. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed a couple of days while visiting family in Lexington. The location worked well, close to shops and places to eat but quiet enough to feel peaceful, with very little outside noise. The hotel was clean throughout, and the common areas always smelled great. Our room had plenty of space for four, comfortable beds, soft sheets, and fluffy pillows. The AC handled the days over 90 degrees with no trouble. The bathroom was fairly small, which was the one part I wasn't thrilled with. I was glad to find an EV charging station. It saved us a lot on gas, charged quickly enough to add usable mileage, and the long cables made it easy to plug in whether we parked nose-in or backed in. I'd stay here again when I'm in the city. It was one of my best hotel stays in a long time.
