Hilton Lexington/Downtown

The hotel's main advantage is its location. The bed was lumpy, there were long black hairs in the tub and sink, and the bathroom ceiling had rust and peeling paint. We were told the heat had been switched on for the whole building, and if a room got hot, guests should turn off their own unit. That didn't help; the heat from below made us feel cooked. Setting the room temperature should be a basic part of a hotel stay. The hotel was full, so we understood we couldn't change rooms. They sent up two fans, which we appreciated, and we have no complaints about the engineers. The front desk staff did everything they could with what they had and were 10/10. The restaurant was overwhelmed despite being right next to the arena. Our food arrived without silverware. I asked a server at the silverware station for some, and he said he was getting it, then set another table with no drinks or food and never returned. I won't be back.

Our group reserved more than 110 rooms for a weekend that became completely sold out, and the Hilton team handled it smoothly from check-in through checkout. The front desk was efficient, attentive, professional, and genuinely kind, accommodating all of our requests. Jim deserves a special mention for giving the weekend a fun, lighthearted start. The hotel is steps from the Central Bank Center, so it's an ideal base for an event weekend. We’re grateful to the team for helping make it a success.

For our wedding weekend, Bryna made arranging a room block simple and stress-free. She even helped us get adjoining rooms so the bridal party could get ready together. Everyone who stayed with us had good things to say about the rooms and service. The Hilton Downtown Lexington was clean, beautiful, and well placed for guests to enjoy downtown. The staff were kind and accommodating from beginning to end, and we're grateful they helped the weekend run smoothly and feel special. I'd recommend it for weddings or other special events.

Bryna handled the room block for our event in early October. She answered questions quickly, sent a booking link, kept us updated, and checked in a few weeks before to see if we wanted to upgrade our room. We chose the Honeymoon Suite, which gave us extra space to get ready and store the boxes from gifts and decorations. The lobby bar had an outdoor smoking area that many of our cigar-smoking guests enjoyed. The waitstaff were excellent, even with us taking over quite a few seats that evening.
