Marriott refused to publish this account on its official website, saying it violated “guidelines” for reporting a police-involved eviction of minors. I’m posting it here for public safety and accountability, and attached a screenshot of their email to this review. I’m a Marriott Gold Elite member, and my stay on February 14th, 2026 was harrowing. This wasn’t a housekeeping issue. It was about staff bypassing parental consent and involving my minor children. We checked in and found stained, foul-smelling sheets and blankets. I asked Travis at the front desk for clean linens. He seemed visibly annoyed by the basic request, and his manner turned hostile. After I physically left the hotel, Travis called my room and questioned my unsupervised children about a luggage cart that had already been moved. He had my contact information and could have called my cell or waited for me to return. When I got back, I asked why he had contacted them instead. He dismissed me, saying he had “other guests to attend to,” and began ignoring me despite my paid reservation and Elite status, which he’d acknowledged at check-in. It felt like he was stripping me of my guest status. He said, “Oh I see, you’re one of those,” and said he’d had “concerns” about my family since check-in. I believe this shows personal bias, and that the later “safety hazard” allegations were a pretext for a discriminatory eviction. He threatened to call security, walked away, and contacted General Manager Sebastian Anderson instead. Travis later confirmed that Sebastian personally authorized him to call the police over my inquiry, rather than address the breach and his conduct. What began as a safety concern about my children ended with police forcing us onto the street late at night. Lexington Police arrived at 8:28 PM. Officers said they initially thought they could intervene, but management insisted on a “trespass” eviction, so they had to enforce it. For 40 minutes, my children and I went through a stressful eviction monitored by police. I tried to explain, and officers formally advised me on camera to pursue civil action. At 9:06pm Travis used his personal phone to mockingly record my children and me. I told the officers I was going to record “this” for the record. We were forced off the property at 9:08 PM. When Travis threatened security, I called Sebastian Anderson and left a voicemail. He didn’t respond. Instead, I got an email survey signed by Sebastian asking me to review my stay. This property is a liability to the Marriott brand. Stay away.

The motel was clean, quiet, and had great amenities. I enjoyed the continental breakfast and would definitely recommend this location. The only thing that wasn’t comfortable for me was the mattress. I’m used to my own, which is very comfortable, so this one felt a little too firm.

The room was really clean and quiet, and breakfast was very good. I was in town recently for an event for my brother. What stood out most was the service: I left my headphones in the room, and a staff member whose name I unfortunately don’t remember called to say they’d found them and were holding them at the front desk. I couldn’t return because I was traveling home, so they offered to keep them until my brother could pick them up for me. I was impressed and would recommend this hotel if you’re staying nearby.

We stayed one night. Check-in went well and the lobby was clean, but the refrigerator in our room made a loud grinding and burping sound all night. It made restful sleep nearly impossible. I travel with a noisemaker, and the fridge was louder than my white noise. I’m sure it wasn’t a new problem, so I can’t believe no one had complained before. I mentioned it to the front desk at checkout and hope they fix it for the next guest. I don’t think I’ll stay here again.

Madison (Maddie) and Kevin at the front desk made us feel like family. My partner and I had a fantastic stay, and our room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.
