Once we got checked in, we went to the store and decided to cancel. We’d booked online during a snowstorm, and the pool and hot tub were advertised as amenities, but the pool area was out of order and being used to store mattresses. It looked like renovations were still underway. The hotel returned the full amount within an hour after I contacted both customer service and the hotel. I was too surprised to remember to take a photo. It was a turnoff to see a nice-looking hotel advertise facilities that weren’t actually available. They should make that clear on the website so guests can avoid the hassle.
2/10
The room smelled awful, with a strong bleach smell too, and it set off all our allergies. The bathroom odor lingered throughout the room for a long time after use. The walls were badly painted and looked as if water had run down from upstairs. The building is old and outdated, the pool isn’t open, and the quality is very poor for a place called a hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We only stayed overnight to sleep, but I wish we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was excellent, and Savannah was very helpful checking us in even though we arrived after midnight.

The pool was under construction, which the website hadn’t mentioned, but the place was so clean that it made up for that. We were blown away by how spotless it was, the cleanest hotel we’ve stayed at apart from four- and five-star places. I’m pretty sure they shampoo the carpets too. The cleaning crew deserves a raise, and customer service was top notch. After a long, stressful day on the road, it means a lot not to deal with a dirty room or rude people. We’ll be back when we pass through, including next month when we meet my in-laws here to pick up our kids after their summer vacation with their grandparents. Thanks for all the hard work, it really shows and is very appreciated. God bless, stay safe, and keep it up! The Durans.

Housekeeping did a great job, and everyone was very friendly. I’ll definitely stay again.
