Somerset Hills Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

On the day I was due to arrive, the hotel called to say it had a strict no-pet policy and would cancel my reservation. I was left scrambling for somewhere to stay at the last minute, and the manager said there was nothing they could do. Hilton’s central support line then told me they would provide neither compensation nor alternative arrangements, even though the misinformation had come from a Hilton representative. I had booked two nights for a later date on April 20, after calling the hotel directly about its pet rules. I explained that I had two small cats, and the front desk representative assured me they were allowed and there would be no pet fee. I even added a note to the reservation about that conversation. As a Hilton Honors member who has stayed with the brand many times, I found this very disappointing. The issue wasn't the policy itself, but the wrong information and the lack of timely communication or a solution. Calling guests on arrival day to cancel because of an internal error is unacceptable. I hope the hotel improves its internal communication and gives guests accurate information so this doesn't happen again.

Breakfast felt thoughtfully put together, and the quiet surroundings made the hotel a good place to unwind. It’s also in a charming area, handy for local dining and shopping. The room was spotless, stylish, and comfortable, with plush bedding and ambient lighting that added to the stay. The staff made things feel personal and friendly from check-in to checkout. I also liked the elegant, welcoming lobby. For a business trip, a romantic evening, or a weekend away, it has the comfort, service, style, and location I was hoping for. I can’t wait to come back.

The lobby has plenty of comfortable places to hang out, and there’s a great bar and restaurant on-site. My room was roomy and clean, with the amenities I needed. The hotel feels spacious throughout but still manages to be warm and cozy. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We were really happy with our five-night stay at Somerset Hills Hotel this past week. The staff were so nice and accommodating, and the lobby, bar, and restaurant were all top shelf. Our room was big, with plenty of storage and lots of amenities, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. My wife and I lived in Warren, NJ for 10 years before moving to Nashville. We come back to NJ regularly to visit family, and we’ll be looking to book future stays here. The rooms, lobby, bar and restaurant, and staff make it feel just right for us.
