We were so uncomfortable that we left the next morning. The property was noisy late into the night, the hot tub was in shambles and didn’t work, and they refused a refund. We ended up eating the cost and finding an amazing hotel in Newport. The location and view are great, but this place needs serious work before I’d consider returning. It’s an older property, which usually doesn’t bother us, but the online listing was thoroughly misleading. One bed still had dirty bedding, dog prints, and hair on the sheets. The other had a stained bed skirt. The toilet was dirty, there was a torn, almost-used toilet paper roll, the shower curtain was badly stained, and the kitchenette fridge had dog hair all over it. The door barely sealed, so we had to brace it with a chair to keep the wind from rattling it. We told the front desk, and they said they’d fix things, but all they did was change the top cover on one bed.

We loved the room and will absolutely come back. We had the honeymoon suite, which was basically a one-bedroom apartment with an ocean-facing hot tub, amazing views, a two-burner stove, and pots and pans. The only thing missing was an oven. It was more dated and a bit run down than the mixed reviews had led us to expect, but it still exceeded our low expectations, especially for the price. We just wish we’d booked two nights instead of one. The room could’ve been cleaner, and the mini fridge was pretty gross. The outdoor hot tub was closed while we were there, which we didn’t find out until check-in. That sucked, though people were there looking at it to fix it, which was a good sign. The pillows were awful, so bring your own.

Thank you, seahorse, for a good night’s rest. We rented two rooms, one of which had just been remodeled and looked really nice. It’ll be awesome when all the rooms are done. I almost booked a two-bedroom for us, but we went with separate rooms, and they made sure we were close together. There are options for a solo stay or extended family, and Brandy and Tracy were the greatest. They greeted us by name and helped with local tips. At checkout my 17-month-old grandson was still napping. We asked, and since they had availability, they gave us an extra hour. Not having to wake him made the day’s activities easier for everyone.

I’d stayed here before and everything was fine, so it’s unfortunate I feel I have to leave a bad review. I booked this hotel for the oceanfront hot tub, but it was under construction during our stay. Expedia didn’t mention that when we booked. Apparently the notice was added online later, and nobody told us before we arrived or even after we checked in. When I raised it with the woman at the desk, she blamed “Mother Nature.” I emailed asking for a refund or some other compensation and never got a response. We would’ve liked to stay again, but guests shouldn’t have to call ahead to find out whether an amenity is working. The hotel should let them know.

We booked a jacuzzi suite for two nights because we were excited to have a tub, since we don’t have one at home. The jacuzzi was disgusting when we arrived. The desk couldn’t do anything until 10:30 the next morning, and after they “cleaned” it, it was still disgusting when we got back. The last two pictures are from after the cleaning. We paid for a jacuzzi room and couldn’t use it. We hoped to at least use the bathtub, but it had no drain stopper. When we asked, they handed me a rag to stuff in the drain. I requested a partial refund because the jacuzzi was the reason we stayed here. Since I booked through a third party, they said it would be difficult, but they’d leave a note for the boss. There was mold in the bathroom, stains on the dirty carpets, and the microwave hadn’t been cleaned. The fireplace was out of order, and nobody told us. Neither had the outdoor hot tub. Worst beach experience yet.
