The main complaint is the cleaning. The toilets and showers were clean, the carpets had been vacuumed, and the kitchen counters wiped, but the house badly needs a deep clean. The walls and doors were dingy, and there were toys and garbage under furniture. Dust was everywhere in visible spots that don’t get touched much, including baseboards, behind beds, outlets, and lamp plugs. The house is in a beautiful upscale neighborhood and looked the part from outside, but inside it was disappointing and needed maintenance. The couch cushions were so flat we couldn’t reach the armrests comfortably, and the bed pillows were about an inch thick and clearly old. The oven and microwave were broken. The rental company brought a countertop microwave and gave us a partial refund. The grill had no propane, so we refilled its tank ourselves, and they said they’d reimburse us. The hot tub wouldn’t heat when we arrived, but someone came to fix it the next day. The air hockey table didn’t work, though they had disclosed that beforehand. This was my second stay in a house from this company within a year, and I’m unimpressed again. If I owned this house, I’d wonder why I was paying the rental company a cut of the rent every month.

A beautiful home, well cared for, with everything we needed.

We spent Christmas here with the whole family. It was spacious and beautiful, and they’d even decorated for the holidays. The kitchen was amazing, and cooking Christmas dinner for 19 was no problem.

These homes are in an HOA-heavy, wealthy part of town that feels completely removed from reality. Lincoln City is already 250 homes over its vacation rental limit, homes that locals who live here desperately need.

We loved the recreation room, but the spa wouldn’t work for us, and that was the main selling point. The walk to the beach wasn’t that great either.
