Americas Best Value Inn Lincoln

It’s an older motel, and to me it seems better suited to singles and workers. The owner and staff were very friendly and kept active with the property. It has potential, but I wouldn’t personally recommend it for families with kids because it’s near the highway and the rooms are small.

A comfortable, homey place to crash, with just the basics. It’s not a five-star kind of spot.

The online photos don’t match what you find when you arrive. The tub had a ring around it, and the place felt more like a flea bag.

I came to Lincoln because a family member was very sick in the hospital, and stayed here for one night a couple of weeks ago. The room was filthy. At check-in they asked whether any animals would be staying, and I said no, though my friend might bring his very well-behaved dog to visit. The dog did no damage, but they charged me an extra $116, more than the room itself. I’m a single mom, and losing that much took a lot of my money for the rest of the month. I never signed anything saying a visiting pet would cost $116. The place is very poorly run, and they watch you like a hawk from the window. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I may have to get an attorney involved.
