Baymont Inn & Suites Lincoln

The owner and manager supports veterans, and the staff have been very accommodating to me as a disabled veteran during this series of nights. The rooms are clean, the mattress is good, and all the amenities work. I especially liked the pool and exercise room. The hot water takes a few minutes of running before it reaches the room, then it's plenty hot. Breakfast is great too.

I booked here by mistake and called right away to cancel. They told me nothing could be done then and asked me to call back the next day. When I did, they wouldn't help, even after I explained more than once how quickly I'd tried to fix the booking so the hotel wouldn't lose business. They just pointed to the no-refunds policy. With such an unsympathetic front desk, I can't see why anyone would pick the Cornhusker. Try somewhere else.

For an overnight stop, the room worked fine. We got a kitchenette with two separate rooms, and the room was clean with a good shower. The door locks were a little broken and needed repair, but still worked. Breakfast was very basic: cereal, mini muffins, plain bagels, and a waffle maker. The juice machine wasn't mixed properly, or it was running out of orange juice.

The second floor rooms were uncomfortably hot. I woke up to 73°, and the staff were pretty snippy with us when we arrived. I also lost a fairly large item that I know was in the room. I asked and called about it several times, but nobody found it. Most likely stolen. DO NOT COME HERE.
