La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Lincoln, Nebraska

For the price we paid, this was just right, and I'd definitely stay again. The staff were wonderful, the rooms clean, and the beds comfortable. Breakfast had biscuits and gravy, waffles, Danish, bagels, cereal, and more. The biscuits and gravy were surprisingly good.

The hotel is older and shows its age, though the lobby and breakfast area have been updated. If you can look past the wear and dated decor, it's a hidden gem for the price: very clean and quiet, with security cameras, comfortable beds, cotton sheets, and professional, friendly, helpful employees. We were pleasantly surprised and would definitely return. From what I've read about the other Wyndham hotels in Lincoln and similarly priced hotels from other brands, this La Quinta is by far the best. We were traveling through Nebraska when our motorhome needed repairs. I was about to book our usual Hampton Inn or Tru by Hilton in Lincoln while we waited, but my husband suggested holding off for various reasons. By the time I tried later, three big conventions or events had filled the mid-range hotels. I was annoyed because I've never liked any Wyndham hotel I've stayed at, and this La Quinta was the only reasonably priced option that didn't seem completely sketchy.

The staff were knowledgeable and professional, and the facility is well maintained. We had a great stay at this LaQuinta, a nice change from the below-average LQ in Davenport. If you're traveling with pets, you might want to look for another hotel in Davenport.

The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good. I would've liked a bedside table on my side and flooring other than carpet. The man who checked us in was professional. The woman on the evening shift was especially friendly and professional when we discussed our late arrival. We got there just as she was leaving, and since the lot was full, she gave us her parking spot.
