Horizon Inn Motel

I wasn't expecting much because it's not a chain, but the place smelled fresh and clean as soon as I walked in. The front desk clerk was super friendly and helpful. My room was just as clean and fresh, everything seemed in great shape, and the bed was as comfortable as beds I've had at places like Holiday Inn. It definitely beat my expectations. I'd stay again without thinking twice.

The friendly, welcoming staff and the good price made for a good stay, and the shower was nice and hot. I would come back for the price, though I did notice several things that made me question cleanliness. There was food left in our fridge from the previous guest, and the breakfast area walls had lots of food splatters behind the machines and near the garbage. The outlet beside the sink was so worn the plug wouldn't stay in, and the cheaply made dresser top was coming loose and warped, so things couldn't sit on it without falling over. It's also close to some adult stores, which I can imagine would put some families off.

I keep calling, but nobody answers, or they pick up and leave the line so I can't hear anything. My boyfriend tried to stay here, but after finding his room dirty, he asked for another one. The worker, who said it was his first day, went to the new room with him and told him he was bisexual and that he was very sexy. It was unprofessional and inappropriate, and made my boyfriend too uncomfortable to stay the night. I left a voicemail asking for a full refund because he couldn't stay, but they wouldn't answer the phone that night. I hoped they would call back the next day. They never did. When I reached out, I was told I wasn't getting a refund and that the comments had never happened. I assume I was speaking to the worker who made them. I'm trying to dispute it through my bank. I hope this review saves somebody else from being sexually harassed and stolen from. Do not stay here.

A clean-smelling budget hotel with a comfortable bed and simple breakfast. The owner stays on top of things, and the window air conditioner ran smoothly and pleasantly. I had what I needed and would stay there again. Ward
