Hampton Inn Lincoln - South/Heritage Park

I usually come to Lincoln for work once a month and stay at the Hampton by the airport. This time I had a Dr appointment, and this location was closer to the clinic. The staff were super friendly as always, the rooms very clean, and the free breakfast was great. I like that the Smart TVs let me watch Netflix on my own account. You can't beat Hampton Inn for the price, and I've never had an issue or bad experience at one. A little side note, the breakfast bar here had the same mini blueberry and lemon poppy seed scones I buy at my grocery store. They're my favorite.

The room itself feels stuck in an earlier decade and could use a refresh. The fitness room is there, technically, but it's small and underwhelming. If you need more than a treadmill and mild disappointment, you'll want a backup plan. The bed was genuinely comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and friendly after a long travel day. Nothing fancy or terrible, just a solid, reliable place to get a good night's sleep while passing through Lincoln.

The staff were friendly, but the mildew odor hit us at the entrance and became almost unbearable after we'd been in the room for a while. When we left, everything we'd brought in was saturated with the smell, including our suitcases, clothes, and pillows. I've washed everything several times and still can't get it out. I won't stay there again.

I don't often review hotels, but this one earned five stars. The room was immaculate and fresh, and the staff were overwhelmingly friendly. The gentleman running breakfast kept an eye on every detail and made sure the buffet stayed perfect. They took the Midwest charm and raised it another level. This Hampton Inn was above and beyond most hotels in its class.
