Woodwards White Mountain Resort, BW Signature Collection

We landed here after the hotel we’d booked before wasn’t worth staying at, and ended up loving our fresh, clean, comfortable room. The arcade was right nearby and a big hit with the whole family. There’s also an indoor pool and hot tub, though we hadn’t brought swimsuits. Breakfast was tasty with lots of choices, including a waffle maker. The views were beautiful, and it’s close to plenty of places. We had a great time and plan to come back.

The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and the service was good. We were traveling with our two cats and couldn’t find a sitter. At the first hotel, they said cats were fine, but changed their story when we arrived. The second one allowed them only if we took them along whenever we left the room, which didn’t really work. This hotel was easy about it: we just paid the pet fee. Breakfast was good too. I recommend staying here.

The free breakfast bar was a handy extra, and the rooms have been improved since we were here 6 or 7 years ago. They’re clean and comfortable enough for a modest price. We visited in winter with a ski group, during a quieter stretch for tourism in the White Mountains area, so the hotel felt calm and comfortable.

The front desk staff were friendly and knew their stuff, and there’s a good-sized restaurant and sports bar next door with good food and drinks. Several other good dining choices are just a few minutes away by car. This is a clean, good-value motel between loon and Cannon mountains. The bed was comfortable, and although I stayed just one night on a ski trip, I’d have been happy to stay for two or three. It worked well as a simple place to sleep between days on the slopes, and I’ll likely return.
