Crown Inn

We had to throw away all our clothes because we were worried about bed bugs. The rooms were disgusting, and both had stained sheets. The first room they sent us to hadn’t been cleaned, so they moved us to a second that was just as bad. Even after I tried to be as polite as I could, they refused a refund. It’s a rip off and a scam that they’re still aloud to be in business. Please save yourself the headache and don’t book here.

I got a refund as soon as I checked in, so I didn’t stay. The bathroom had a strong urine smell, and there were things left on the bed that the maid hadn’t bothered to remove. It was late and I’d just finished work, but I had to drive around and find somewhere else to stay. Terrible! I only gave it a star so I could leave a comment.

Traffic noise was quite bad, and the door jamb wasn’t square, leaving a ¼" gap at the bottom, even though the door itself was solid and locked. On the plus side, the mattress had a cover to help minimize bed bug infestation and there were no signs of bed bugs. The room was newly renovated and clean, and the dated bathroom was clean too. My room also had a jacuzzi tub.

For one night this would’ve been fine at around 50 USD, but I paid 107 USD, which felt steep for such basic lodging. The rooms were fairly clean and renovated, though it looks like the renovation budget ran out in the bathroom, with old paint peeling artistically. The place is on a busy road and very noisy. Luckily, the loud A/C drowned out most of the traffic. Wi-Fi was good.
