The Abner Hotel

Our three-generation family had such a good time during a cozy winter weekend at The Abner, a lovely and fun place in a perfect spot in Litchfield CT. The staff were thoughtful, professional, and accommodating throughout. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at The Courtroom, and the included breakfast buffet was delicious. We'll definitely return.

This was my second stay, and it's only gotten better. I hope to return in the Spring. The front desk team, all three people across different shifts, handled a request of mine professionally and made the whole stay wonderful. They represent the business so well. And thank you, Shannon! Breakfast with Stephanie was warm and welcoming. She shared the interesting story of how The Abner began, along with some local history. Also, shout-out to the bartender for a delicious Abner Gimlet!

The hotel looked great, from the atmosphere to the interior design, and the room was more than adequate. I was in town for a friend's 60th bday and stayed at the Abner. From the kind and welcoming phone call through check-in and drinks, the staff were among the friendliest people I've ever met. I'd definitely stay here again.

The rooms feel comfortable and welcoming, and there are no TVs in them, which encourages you to socialize around the hotel and in Litchfield. In summer, there's a roof top bar. What makes staying at the Abner such a delight is the team: they learn your name and greet you by it wherever you go, and remember how you take your coffee at breakfast. Looking forward to my next visit.
