Overlook Mansion

The owners are a lovely couple who really put their hearts into making this an authentic B&B. They happily cooked delicious breakfast and spent time chatting with guests. The dining area, little bar, cozy atmosphere, and their friendliness made the stay feel personal. The Mansion is gorgeous and very well kept, with unique rooms that each have their own charm. They’re equipped with what you need while still retaining the old, authentic feel. The location is perfect, the grounds are well preserved, and the porch seating is a peaceful place to relax. My wife and I couldn’t have been happier with our stay. It’s a real gem in Little Falls, NY.

Maggie hosted us while her husband was visiting family that weekend. She gave us an informative tour, then let us relax for the rest of the day. Since we didn’t want to drive in the snowstorm, she even helped us get a cab to the rest of Little Falls. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. The house was absolutely gorgeous, and arriving in the middle of a blizzard made it feel like a haunted house. I’d definitely stay here again if I were in the area.

Jim made us feel welcome from the start. It was pouring when we arrived, and he was outside with umbrellas. He gave us a tour and suggested places to eat. We stayed in the Overlook room, which was very clean and had a little sunroom with two seats and a small table. It was a great spot to hang out and relax in the evening. The place was great, with continental breakfast in the morning. I’d absolutely stay again and recommend it to everyone.

We were allowed to look around the other guest rooms after people had checked out, and the building is well worth exploring. It’s beautiful. The gentleman who checked us in was great and suggested a good restaurant. The next morning, he showed us the dining hall, where breakfast was already laid out, then offered eggs and bacon and asked how we wanted them cooked. I loved this place. I stayed overnight in the Overlook room and was taken with the old building’s charm. Everything is decorated so thoughtfully, and you almost feel like you live there. The clean bedroom had a balcony and a cute table and chairs. The furniture seems chosen to suit each room. The bathroom was huge, though the water pressure and temperature were a bit troublesome. I can overlook that quirk of an old mansion because the experience was so good. I’d highly recommend staying here.
