Super 8 Peru

Friendly staff, a convenient location, and a continental breakfast are nice, and it’s pet friendly. The rooms are clean, quiet, and have what you need. It’s also super cheap. The building is old and could use an update. Some of these reviews are hilarious. This place is clearly for a quick stop and some sleep while passing through town, and it does that job. It’s not meant to be a luxurious weekend getaway.

The staff were friendly, but the whole hotel looked rundown, and the room was only somewhat clean. There was a splatter of some kind of substance on the ceiling, the ice machine was broken, and the place reeked of curry cooking spice. We had to spray perfume and cologne in the room. We had a second reservation for the trip home, but canceled it. I guess you get what you pay for at $89 for one night.

The location was pretty good, with lots of food nearby and easy access from outside. Service was very average. The water tasted horrible, and there’s no elevator, so bring that into account if you have a lot of bags. The room had a distinct, off-putting smell. The toilet wobbled when you sat on it, and one corner of the clothes rack had literally been ripped out of the wall. Not sure who needed their jacket that badly, lol. I’d only stay here as a last resort or if it was the only place within my budget.

I found three bed bugs on one of the beds during my stay this past weekend, and my granddaughter was bitten several times. I used to be a loyal customer whenever I came to town, but I’ll never stay here again.
