The air worked well, the water was hot, and there was a microwave and refrigerator. The refrigerator and bathroom were clean too. Those were the good parts. The atmosphere was awful from the start, with a smell of cigarettes or damp sheets and people hanging around outside rooms in conditions that felt unsafe. The sheets had obvious, horrible stains, and the place didn’t meet basic cleanliness or safety standards. A kind of safe was in terrible shape and had a sock inside. We could hear kids, music, and doors slamming for much of the night. I know it’s their space too, but everyone is trying to rest after a trip, and the noise kept waking us up so we couldn’t sleep well. For one night it may be okay, but for several days I’d choose somewhere a little more expensive. I don’t recommend it, even for a budget night.

I booked a double queen room for my mother and me before a cruise. There was no TV remote, and nobody asked at check-in whether I wanted one. The phone didn’t work when I tried to call and ask where the remote was. Later, someone said fixing the phone was above his pay grade. When I went to shower, there was no shampoo and the water was only lukewarm. We killed two cockroaches in two hours. An hour later the water still wasn’t any warmer. Can I get my money back?

I was quoted one price, then told a completely different amount in person. The room and hallway smelled bad, the sheets looked dirty, and I felt uncomfortable even lying down. The toilet and shower kept running, the walls were nasty and had holes, and the remote didn’t work at all. I hated staying here. It wasn’t worth the price. 🤬

The rooms were spacious, but the bed was old and uncomfortable, and there were roaches. They kept $100 from my $200 deposit, saying liquid on the sheets had damaged them. The woman I dealt with throughout was really sweet and nice, the only reason I’m giving any stars. Maybe they should use that $100 for pest control, because the place needs it.

I was nervous after reading the reviews and seriously considered finding somewhere else. It was my second trip to Florida and my first time at this Motel 6, so I hoped for a good impression. My flight from Tennessee was delayed, and I called the hotel over and over from 5:30 to 10:30 with no answer. When someone finally picked up, he was nice but said he’d been there all day and never heard the phone ring. The room was spacious, but the floor was dirty. My son turned on the bathroom light and saw a roach walking across the mirror. We caught it and threw it out the window. With the lights on, we could see filth on the walls and around the bottoms of the furniture. The sheet had a cigarette burn, stains, and dirt, like it had already been slept in. More roaches showed up later. I couldn’t sleep, so I stayed up killing them as they came out of the wall around the light sockets and outlet. A crumb dropped on the floor and they swarmed it. They called them “palmetto bugs,” but they were roaches. There was cockroach poop on the shower curtain and in the wall corners. We stayed only one night. We would’ve left the first night if the flight delay hadn’t led to our rental car being canceled. We never opened our luggage or took out our clothes. Now I’m trying to get someone to answer the phone so I can get a refund. The whole place needs a wrecking ball, gas, and a match. I strongly suspect, much like in NY, they house homeless people there. It’s just nasty. If you want a good night’s sleep or don’t like roaches, find another hotel.
