Days Inn by Wyndham Little Rock/Medical Center

We picked this hotel for its low price and closeness to the hospital, and I can see why it was under $60 for the night. The night attendant was friendly, the bed was soft with plenty of pillows, and the heater sort of worked when set to 80, even though it was around 33 outside. The room was in rough condition. Some ceiling spackle had fallen off, the fridge was stained inside, and the tub drained so slowly that we both stood in water while showering. There was a distinct smell, like someone had lived in the room for a while. The towels felt more like sandpaper than cloth, and my girlfriend's shower water wasn't hot enough. You get what you pay for.

After traveling 15 hours, I found a huge black ring in the tub, like someone had bathed there before me. I had to clean the extremely dirty tub myself. The freezer section of the fridge had mold, too. Why aren't rooms checked by the housekeeping supervisor or manager before employees clock out? The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but smelled like smoke and an ashtray. If a guest books and pays online for a specific room, that should be the room they get. Check-in isn't through a walk-in lobby. You deal with a window for the key, then enter through a side door. Breakfast wasn't really breakfast or what most people look for. Going to a restaurant is probably better unless you just need something grab-and-go. They said there would be coffee, but there wasn't, and hot water for tea wasn't consistently available either. The room was big and had more TV channels than most motels and hotels, which helped pass the time.

Our room was neat and clean, and the location made it easy to reach city attractions, restaurants, and gas stations. Everything seemed good until evening, when we ran into clogged drains in both the basin and bathtub. We struggled with them, though it was only a one-night stay and we didn't make too much of it. Please address issues like this.

The service and stay were horrible. After losing my daughter, I sometimes had to stay nightly while living paycheck to paycheck, which was costly, though I still made it to work every day. A little after 11, the manager came to my room yelling that I had to leave the property. He was mean and very aggressive, shouting in my face. You never know when someone might just break in. I stood off the property for an hour waiting for my ride after being told to leave. I caused no trouble, always paid, and used no drugs. I felt hurt and intimidated.
