We could walk straight from the hotel through the rain and down a ramp into the event center, which made the night easy. We came to see the Michel Jackson broadway show next door, and Bridges restaurant had MJ music, a big poster at the entrance, and a bit of MJ theming on the buffet menu. The first-floor buffet worked well for our group of seven. I liked how Doubletree and the event center connect. Our room was clean and looked out over the bridge, river, and walking trail. Parking was simple with a debit card for both entering and leaving the garage, and there’s easy access to the lobby. For the elevator from lobby to garage, take the one on the far left. I like being able to park, eat, have fun, and sleep without driving around. We go to a lot of Celebrity Attraction shows in Tulsa, and this was our first in Little Rock. A nice option, and I’d stay here again. Next time I might explore nearby on foot and check out the trail.

The staff were pleasant and tried to help, and Kye (bartender), Quita, Melissa and a few others deserve a shout-out. That’s why this gets two stars. But I heard three or four different explanations about the boiler, weather, and water issues, and the hotel felt outdated with no sign of upgrades. For what we paid, other nearby hotels had better quality at the same price. I won’t stay here again or recommend it, and Hilton has me giving them the sideeye. I’m also reconsidering my Bonvoy status for future travel. We visited about a week ago, when the weather had shut a lot of things down, but the hotel wasn’t heated or prepared well. Friends at other hotels didn’t have these problems. The lobby, dining area, bathrooms, and other common spaces were freezing. Space heaters didn’t help, and the kitchen was so cold that the bacon arrived greasy and never hot. I chose the suite for the extra space, but it wasn’t worth it. The shower stayed lukewarm, then kept stopping completely before sputtering back at an even colder temperature. I tried to capture the weak pressure and spurts on video, with no steam even at the hottest setting. With soap all over me, I had to wait for each burst to rinse off. The sink only trickled, though the water did get hot, so we had to shift toothbrushes and washcloths around to catch it.

The location is great, and the outside of the hotel is appalling. Inside, it needs to be torn down and redone. My kids and I drove from Texas for three nights, but after just the first night I’m not sure we’ll last that long. The room is gross, with bugs, stains on the sheets and bed, and stains on the floor. It doesn’t feel ready for anyone to sleep in, and there’s a strong repellent smell. I’m surprised the place hasn’t been shut down. The pool is closed too. It’s so bad I’m willing to lose my money and find somewhere else.

The front desk guy was great, and the location worked perfectly for the Little Rock Marathon. The room itself was tiny, barely enough space to move around, and there’s no way to bring a luggage trolley inside. Several things needed fixing, and the ice machine was missing from our floor.

The front desk staff were patient and really helpful, and the restaurant food was decent. But the rooms are horrible. My A/C was set to 67 and still couldn’t get the room below 74. I checked with a temperature gun, and two neighbors in the hall said their rooms had the same issue. There was no fridge or microwave, though there’s plenty of space for both. The linen and towels smelled stale. They gave me water when I asked the wonderful woman at the desk, since there wasn’t any in the room. The location is great, but I’m moving on. Hilton should be concerned. Even as a Diamond member, management won’t do anything. Don’t trust the owner replies to reviews, either. They just post a copy-and-paste answer.
