Hilton Garden Inn West Little Rock

The staff members we dealt with were pleasant, though some didn’t seem professional in their appearance, their actions, or the way they spoke with each other. Extra pillows we requested never arrived, the water never got properly hot, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting out in the bedroom area of our suite. The daily food and beverage credit wasn’t applied. I raised it at checkout and got a revised folio, but the updated amount still wasn’t charged correctly. The suite had some updates, but much of the furniture was badly worn or broken down. More concerning, the parking lot went at least three days without snow or ice clearing while nearby businesses had cleared theirs. It was extremely dangerous. I brought it up twice and was told the company hired by ownership never showed up. We spend over 100 nights a year at Hilton properties, have Diamond status, and I’ve stayed here before. I’m no longer considering this hotel for winter trips to Little Rock.

I left to get breakfast somewhere else after waiting ten minutes for help at the breakfast area. I’d asked how breakfast worked and whether it was included with the room. The gentleman at the desk said it wasn’t and directed me over there, but nobody came to assist me. Both the evening and morning front desk staff seemed to have trouble communicating and didn’t seem eager to help. Their replies were quiet, and helping guests came across as a bother. Aside from breakfast, thanks for a wonderful visit.

The location is great, but the morning restaurant staff were a real problem, and the food prices at this property are crazy. The elevator I took wouldn’t go to the first floor, and the TV service was poor enough that I just turned it off. There are plenty of other good hotels and restaurants nearby.

My room was dirty, with hair in the bathtub, and the staff weren’t courteous. I booked and paid for a particular room type, checked in online, and selected my room, but at the last minute the hotel moved me to a different room right next to the elevator. When I asked why, they first claimed that was the type I’d booked. I showed them my reservation, and then they said they were sorry but full. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
