Wyndham Grand Executive Center Little Rock Airport

The rooms were clean and modern, and everyone on staff was welcoming, polite, and quick to help. I’ve stayed in motels all over the country, and this was the best hotel experience I’ve had. I didn’t visit the on-site restaurant or bar. There’s a small convenience store across the street, and the hotel also has a little store at the front desk with drinks and snacks. If you want to eat elsewhere, you’ll need to drive about 3-5 miles, but that’s no big deal.

The staff were friendly, and the convention center was neat, though figuring out how to get to a dorm hall was confusing. Being close to the airport is a plus if the price is right. The rooms, though, had motel vibes. I’d just come from a smaller HIE an hour away that was actually up to date. Here it felt like lipstick on a pig, with hallways casually being remodeled on every floor, rooms that weren’t redone well, and mattresses that were nothing special. Internet seemed faster in the lobby than in my room, even though there was an access point in the room, so it seemed like throttling rather than distance. After a few seconds, the lobby connection was throttled too, to around 20 Mbps.

The breakfast was horrible. I couldn’t eat anything from the morning buffet. We started in a room at the very back of the hotel with no heat. A staff member came up and moved us eight doors closer to the front after I asked why we’d been put so far back when hardly anyone was there. That room had heat, but the refrigerator didn’t work. The outlets inside the walls were loose and looked dangerous. I definitely won’t be back.

We were really disappointed by the $12.99 breakfast: cold coffee, warm orange juice, tasteless eggs, tough bacon, and biscuits with cold gravy. The room had its problems too. The curtains were frayed at the bottom, the headboards had ripped fake leather, and the hair dryer didn’t work. There was only one washcloth, so we had to ask for more.
