The location is great, but I wouldn't stay here again. We were there in winter, and the biggest problem was having no heat. There's a shoebox-sized space heater hidden in the closet, but no one mentioned it at check-in. We dropped our bags and went to dinner, not realizing how cold the room was. When we got back, it was freezing. The radiator can't be turned on, and the front desk told me about the little heater only when I went down to ask. It took hours to warm the room, so we went to bed fully dressed in our Smartwool, still cold. Then we woke in the middle of the night overheated with no way to cool the room down. The next morning we couldn't get a hot shower. The water wasn't even warm, and it was too uncomfortable to shower. The sink drained very slowly, too. The walls are thin and there are gaps around the hallway door, so noise and light get in. Cute and quirky, sure, but not worth paying $130 to lack basic necessities and feel like you're camping indoors.

The location is terrific, and the staff are super friendly. The place has a lot of charm, but the rooms are small, can be a little cold, don't have much storage, and the walls are very thin. It's a historic site, so I can understand those drawbacks. Just be ready for fewer modern amenities than you'd get at a standard Hilton. I'd definitely stay again for the location and the convenience of walking around downtown.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and you can walk everywhere from here. There's free parking behind the Inn, the staff are great, and the price is very affordable. If you know what to expect, it's a good place to stay, especially since there aren't many other options nearby. Littleton is really the only place in the region with plenty of nice shops and eateries, and it's centrally located for visiting other areas within 20 minutes. I would stay again since location is my main priority and I'm mostly just sleeping there. It's a very old historic hotel, so don't expect grand rooms. They're dated, with ruffled curtains, some shades that won't retract, tiny nightstands, old wooden tables, and awful central ceiling lights that don't fit the era. There are faded wall prints and drab common areas, though the breakfast room isn't so bad. A little painting and a few finishing touches would go a long way. It's a shame that hasn't been done.

Like quirky rooms that tilt a little? And having to shut the bathroom door while showering so you don't set off the sprinklers? You'll like it here. I'm on my 11th year, and it never disappoints. The historic building is always clean, the continental breakfast is good, and the staff are super friendly. I love this place. The restaurant in the basement isn't affiliated with the Inn and seems to change every other year, but it's always good. You're right downtown, near Chutters, Schilling, and great shops. You can't go wrong with Thayers Inn.

All of Littletons Main Street feels like a time capsule from another era, and the hotel is a lovingly maintained piece of American history that famous people have visited. The rooms are simple, quaint, clean, and comfortable. The cleaning staff went above and beyond. They noticed I'd thrown away my toothbrush after the first night and left me a new one the next day without being asked. I'd love to visit again.
