Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Livermore by IHG

The staff were nice, and there’s a pleasant lobby and free breakfast. Rooms are big and clean, with the old-school heater and AC unit mounted on the floor or wall. Parking was okay. It’s a solid Holiday Inn with the standard layout.

The concierge was especially friendly and helpful, and breakfast was complimentary, well stocked, and had lots of options. The rooms and lobby were very clean, and I liked the design and layout. This is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in a long while. There are a few minor maintenance things, like worn fixtures and a flaky TV. Noise from other rooms and traffic wasn’t great.

Marlene was a highlight of our four-night stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Livermore. She kept up with the breakfast rush, food service, and table cleanup, always greeting people, helping with food handling, and checking that guests were satisfied. She also kindly took photos of our group of five, including our friends visiting California from the UK. She was the icing on the Cinnamon Rolls. The buffet was the usual HIE standard. The whole facility was well maintained inside and out, and our room and public areas were clean and nicely decorated. Front Desk and Housekeeping were friendly and professional. The location was convenient for I-580 access without freeway noise, the Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station, and Livermore attractions. Probably the best HI Express property my wife and I have visited.

It was okay apart from the TV cable and USB ports, which were broken. They should check rooms more carefully before letting new guests in.
