Residence Inn by Marriott Livermore

Customer support case number: 880802872. There was no on-site parking. I got less than 12 hours’ notice, with nothing mentioned during registration or at check-in for my four-night stay. Then a printout threatening to tow my car by 5:30 AM was taped to my room door. Do better, Marriott!

The room air was a problem. I don’t usually have allergies, but on the first night I woke up in the middle of the night with an itchy throat, runny nose and sneezing. I had to turn off the AC to feel better, but then the room got stuffy. I slept badly and had to buy allergy medicine the next day. I also had a frustrating time trying to get help after leaving my extended MacBook cable and charger behind. I called the front desk that evening. The night shift representative put me on hold for 15 minutes and never came back. On my second call I waited on hold another 20 minutes while they supposedly checked the logbook and Lost & Found, again with no one returning to the line. On the third call, they said they’d leave a note for housekeeping and told me to call the next morning. I did, and was just told nothing had been reported and the case was closed. The whole process wasted my time, with no follow-up, accountability or real effort to help. Between the poor service and uncomfortable room conditions, this stay didn’t meet basic expectations. I hope they improve staff responsiveness and room maintenance.

The Residence Inn in Livermore was beautiful, spotless and well maintained, with great amenities. But what stood out most was the staff. Everyone I met, from the front desk to the rest of the team, was friendly and went out of their way to make me feel at home. Their hospitality made the whole stay feel welcoming and comfortable. My experience exceeded expectations, and I can’t wait to come back. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Livermore.

We called weeks ahead and were guaranteed a pack and play for our kid. After a long travel day, we arrived and were told none was available. The next day, a new staff member promised to get one for us, but it never happened. Then the fire alarms went off at 6 am. The worst part was the in-unit AC, which had a motion sensor that shut it off while we slept. The room got warm at night, and I had to get up each night to move around and turn it back on. I understand saving energy, but I also want to be comfortable while sleeping.
